Bark N' Bows Doggie Daycare
INFORMATION AND POLICIES
Do you feel guilty about leaving your best friend home alone all day? Is your fur-baby bored and lonely while you’re out running errands or on a day trip? Or maybe you have family coming over that doesn’t appreciate your pup’s enthusiasm the way you do? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you should consider doggie daycare!
Doggie daycare is a service for people with dog-friendly dogs. Bark N’ Bows is the place where your beloved buddy can hang out and just be a dog! Your pampered pooch can run, play and wrestle the day away with other cherished four-legged friends.
The purpose of our doggie daycare program is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for your dog(s). To ensure the safety and health of your dog and others, we require all clients to comply with the following rules:
LOCATION
AGE
All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered. Dogs as young as 12 weeks old may attend daycare. Special exceptions may be made for puppies younger than 12 weeks old.
VACCINATIONS
All dogs must be current on all required vaccinations. Owners must submit a copy of records at the time of enrollment as well as keep a current record on file. Required vaccines are Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Para influenza (often this is a combinations vaccine simply called Distemper) and Bordatella (Kennel Cough).
HOURS
Daycare is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 am until 6:00pm. We ask that dogs not be picked up or dropped off during nap time / snack time which are 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. If this service becomes popular we will offer it more days a week.
KENNEL TIME
Bark N’ Bows limits the amount of time the dogs are kenneled. However, to help the daycare run smoothly and to help ensure the safety of the dogs at all times, the below kennel schedule will be followed:
Dogs will be kenneled for nap / snack time for no more than 2 hours between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. This gives the dogs an opportunity to rest and allows the dogs with snacks to digest their special treats.
Dogs will be kenneled during clean up time at the end of the day which is 5:30 pm until closing at 6:00 pm.
Dogs may be kenneled temporarily to help with introduction or for a short “time out” if behavior becomes disruptive.
BEHAVIOR POLICIES
At daycare we closely monitor interactions between the dogs and the staff. If we feel your pet is acting inappropriately we will issue a “strike”. If your dog collects three strikes he / she will be released indefinitely from daycare. If a serious incident takes place, we have the right to excuse the dog with no further warnings.
Please understand that not all dogs are suited for daycare. The environment can be overwhelming or over stimulating for some dogs. If we express concern with your dog’s behavior or dismiss your dog from daycare, we feel it is in your dog’s best interest. We want all dogs to enjoy daycare and to benefit from the experience.
GENERAL DAYCARE POLICIES
· If dogs are persistent barkers, a squirt bottle filled with water will be used to correct.
· All dogs must be on a heartworm and flea / tick control program.
· Please be aware attending daycare puts your dog at risk of communicable illness – we ask that any dog that is ill or that has been exposed to an illness be removed from daycare until cleared by your Veterinarian.
COMMON RESULTS OF A DAY AT DAYCARE
